It doesn’t really seem possible that we are already past Memorial Day and that summer is upon us!  But it’s true, and that means it’s time for the summer chick flicks!  And I know you want to see them all. But it’s no fun seeing a chick flick if you’re not a chick, is it?  This is the perfect time for you to summon all your courage and GO OUT EN FEMME!

So this is what I want you to do.  I want you to take a wonderful bubble bath, getting your skin all smooth and lovely.  Relax with your favorite scent.  If you need to shave your legs, do that before the bath, so you can just relax in the bubbles.  Close your eyes and visualize yourself as the girl you know you can be. Afterward, dry yourself with a pretty, fluffy towel and pat your body with cooling, scented powder.  Put moisturizing lotion on your legs (you do this every day, don’t you? If not, you SHOULD). 

Next, you must put on your girly clothes.  You’re going to a movie, so you should look feminine, but also feel comfortable sitting in the movie theatre.  That is not the time to look glitzy or slutty, even, just completely feminine.

If you have a nice, simple wig, wear it.  If not, style your hair as girly as possible.  Makeup should be light and natural looking.  The important thing is that you FEEL like a girl … you don’t have to necessarily pass for one.  You’ll be in a dark theatre anyway, and what counts is how you feel while you watch the movie.

So how do you feel feminine without looking like a man in drag?  Easy.  Take that bath, apply the lotion .. then put on your prettiest panties under a pair of women’s jeans.  Choose your top carefully … you can feel pretty and girlie in any type of top with a bra (or a sports bra) underneath.  Clear nailpolish makes you feel feminine, and of course if you want, wear some sandals after a nice pedicure.

My point is that you can go out to a chick flick feeling like a chick, and even looking like one, without totally “outing” yourself and putting yourself in a dangerous situation, if you’re worried about that.  The dark movie theatre is a perfect place to feel totally girlie, while enjoying a good chick flick and letting those tears come out at the really sad and wonderful parts of the movie.
