Hi, everyone! Hope this finds you all well. I am just giddy with anticipation. This is my favorite time of year. I love the fall. I have always admitted I am not the biggest of fashionistas, but something about fall just brings it out in me. Recently, I shared some of my favorite fall fashion tips on Mistress Delia’s blog, femfabulous.com. It got me thinking, how do you shop? A lot of factors can go into how one shops. I thought it would be fun to explore some of the options and why we choose them.
Location Location LOCATION
Location can play a part in how you shop. I happen to live in a small community. Think of it as a small town outside of a suburb of a suburb lol. I can get to bigger areas within an hour or two with the stores I frequent so going to the mall is an all day thing. I do enjoy a day shopping but locally I am very limited. Add to it, for many things I order petite sizes (I am under 5’4”). NOTE: Many companies offer additional sizes and more options online that are not offered in their stores. If you need need a tall or plus size, I suggest checking a store’s website. Also, if you are confused about sizing, it’s easy to check the sizing charts online.
Personal Circumstances
Personal circumstances are most likely the biggest deciding factor. Some of my fem friends have told me, that even though they would love to spend the day out shopping and unlike me are not limited by their location, they still do not venture to the mall ~ at least not locally. As undercover sissies, they are not comfortable going out en femme in their community for fear of running into a neighbor or some are unsure how they will be treated by sales clerks and other customers. I understand. Shopping is suppose to be fun not stressful or scary.
Shop Online
So if like me you do most of your shopping online, it doesn’t mean that you can’t make the most of it. Set aside the time that would go out and use it to take your time. Also, share items you’re looking at with a friend. (Even if you are an undercover sissy you can share your sissy clothes with your mistress!) The idea is to have fun and enjoy it.
Undercover Shopping
If you just want that in the store experience (trust me, I get it. There are times I do as well) this is the perfect time of year to get out without concern. The holidays are fast approaching and there are sales daily. No one is going to think twice (or say anything) if you walk into a store to browse. Even if you don’t buy anything or still plan to order online, you can still see the colors and feel the fabrics.

I’ve shopped online/in in person. It wasn’t fun nor enjoyable in person as I did it by myself and saleswoman didn’t seem to care or bat eyelash. I was hoping this wasn’t case but I was wrong. With my masseuse taking control over my spending and saying I have enough women’s clothes she put halt so I can do massages 3xweek and monthly waxings. I often fantasize about going out and having a “girly mall day” with a female who would show me how to shop. We would shop and then have a salad lunch and have girl talk. I have had a few girls make me dress for their amusement but not really gone out like that.
I’ve done it all internet shopping, stealing lingerie from female friends , hiring women as a personal shopper and personally shopping for myself at a store.
They all have their benefits but in person is the best way to shop. I come in with a story and back story about missing a anniversary date say your made up girls name and remember it come in with a few basis measurements similar to yours. I never call the items by their correct name’s like a garter is a belt a panty is called the bottom part or drawers.
I then make a fake phone call to her sister asking about sizes and then I find out that my girl hates thongs and to buy a matching bikini instead of a thong which is important for her to forgive me.
This part of the act is very convincing to my story I’ve done this so many times and it works like a charm
After a few return visits to that store using the same clerk is easier because they can pull things from the rack before you even get there and they think your a great boyfriend.
Some of the clerk’s who are very experienced in the field will eventually figure out your real story and those girls really love to help you shop so do what feels safe but also look for a store that is out of town or far away from your town and shop in person having a girls help is soooo important.
I love shopping in person. While my goal is to be completely passable, I dont care if I get “made”. I dress age appropriate and enjoy just being out and interacting with people.
