Spring is just around the corner and now is the time to be getting your sissy self ready for it. For many sissies, skin care is an afterthought or something they don’t really think about at all. What every real girl knows is that taking care of the skin is one of *the* most important things you can do to look attractive and sexy. With that in mind, here are some skincare tips for preparing to be your sissy best this spring and summer. These tips are for whole-body skincare, not just your face.
Cleanse Your Sissy Skin
Cleansing your skin may sound like a no brain-er, but it really does require a little thought, because you don’t want to use a harsh cleanser that will strip your skin of its natural oils or water that’s so hot it dries and damages your skin. Many guys tell me they can’t believe I am over 40 because my skin looks so supple and wrinkle-free. You may think I spend a lot of time and money getting this way, but I don’t. My skincare routine is quite simple. I follow the KISS method (Keep It Simple Stupid.)
For cleansing my body, I use a mild coffee soap that is made locally and apply the soap with a microfiber cloth. You don’t have to use coffee soap, just be sure to choose a gentle soap with herbs and plenty of fat to help moisturize your skin. I never, ever use soap on my face. I simply use a microfiber cloth and warm water. After I’m finished showering (using water that is just above lukewarm, so as not to damage my skin), I turn the water to cold for about 30 seconds before getting out of the shower. This cold water helps tighten your cuticles and pores while increasing circulation to give you that nice pink glow.
Exfoliate Your Sissy Skin
One of the most important things you can do to keep your sissy skin looking soft and supple is to exfoliate. Without regular exfoliation, dead skin cells build up and can cause rough, dry patches, as well as clog pores and cause acne. It’s hard to be your sissy best when you’ve got rough skin or acne. The best way to exfoliate simply is to use the microfiber cloth every time you shower or bathe. Beyond that, once a week or so, you should use a sugar or salt body scrub for a little deeper exfoliation. These DIY body scrub recipes are some of my tried-and-true favorites.
Moisturize Your Sissy Skin
When it comes to moisturizing, again, the KISS method is best. No need to buy expensive face creams and body lotions. Organic coconut oil is what I use for both facial cream and makeup remover, as well as body “lotion.” I do sometimes use an all natural organic body lotion in the summer time because it’s lighter than the coconut oil but I use the coconut oil on my face year-round.
Another way to treat yourself occasionally is by giving yourself a facial. These DIY spa facials are sure to leave your skin soft and supple and you feeling relaxed and fabulous!
Remember, You are What You Eat
Another very important- yet overlooked- aspect to skincare is diet. That old saying “you are what you eat” is spot on. If you want skin with a healthy glow, make sure you are drinking plenty of water and eating plenty of vegetables and healthy fats like olives and avocados. Clean eating (food without additives and preservatives and absolutely no sugary or processed foods) is the best way to get and maintain healthy skin.
