10 Easy Products in your Sissy Makeup Bag

1. Foundation – You will need a full coverage foundation. This will be a creamy foundation that you can apply to your face using your fingers, a makeup sponge or best yet, a brush. This, as the name states, sets the right foundation for the rest of your makeup.

2. Concealer – If you have any blemishes or dark spots, you will have your stick concealer. This, when used lightly, can hide most imperfections and give you a smooth finish. I like to use this over foundation but under the pressed powder.

3. Pressed Powder – This gives your face a matte finish, and removes all shine. You will put this on to give a smooth and uniform complexion. The rest of your makeup will glide over this layer.

4. Eyeliner – You will apply this on the waterline of your lower lashes, and just above the upper lashes on your eyelids. Have fun with the color. Don’t always go for black liner. Try Blue if you have brown eyes or charcoal to lighten things up.

5, Eyeshadow Kit – I love blending when I get a new eyeshadow kit. Usually, the kits come with 3 or 4 colors and instructions on how to use them. My rule of thumb is lighter at your brows, and darker and smokey on the lids. Always remember to blend eyeshadow!

6. Mascara – You use mascara on your lower and upper lashes to define your eyes and give them a finished look. When putting on mascara, always start light. You can do more coats anytime, but layer slowly.

7. Lip Liner – Lips always look better when lined. I love to take my lip liner and “paint my lips with it, basically coloring within the lines I made. I find this gives a great base for lipsticks to stick to. Things last longer this way!

8. Lipstick or Gloss – Start with a nude color. Coral goes very well with most skin tones. You can also find a set that has pinks, reds, and browns, and experiment with those colors and see what makes your skin look best.

9. Eyebrow brush If your face is all prettily made up, but your eyebrows are askew, you will look unfinished. Take your brow brush. Dip it in an eyeshadow close to your hair color and LIGHTLY brush your brows, smoothing the hair, and putting both a bit of shimmer and color on them.

10. Bronzer – Want a sun-kissed yet fresh look? The bronzer will get you there. I use bronzer as my blush, and then I brush a hint over my forehead, nose, and center of my chin so I look like I have spent some time in the sun.
